Kettle Bell

Kettle bells are great for functional fitness, they are currently all the rage but will not be a fad because they really do work. I have been using them to develop fighters' fitness and strength for a number of years and would like to give our members the opportunity to reap the same benefits. Below are  a few instructional videos to show a couple of exercises, the clean and press and the snatch. I recommend you do only 5 reps each side and just keep it going for maybe 10 to 20 minutes to begin with taking minimum rest. This is not only great for cardio, which means fat burning but it is also great for functional strength.

Fitness fanatics have been going head to head in Wolverhampton to raise money for two local charities.

A runner has taken on three rowers to see who can complete a marathon in the quickest time.

On Behalf of the British Heart Foundation, Firewalker Health Club would like to thank all of following members who took part in the spinathon for Healthy Heart Week, who completed a combined total of 18 hours and 45 minutes on the spin bikes to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

    firewalker is the home of kettlbell training in wolverhampton. it seems kettlebells are in the news all the time now as the latest training method. well in some places this may be true but at firewalker we have been developing athletic performance with them for years!!! we have classes which are kettlbell based. we have personal training which is can be exclusively kettlebells. we can develop your personal programme to include kettlebell training. all of our fighters use kettlebells as a large part of their training and i recommend them to anybody who wants to be more athletic where thats to carry the shopping or become a world champion!!!
